Old Friend

You know those dreams where you see someone you haven’t seen for ages – haven’t seen since preschool! And you wake up wondering what ever happened to that old friend. You want to call, but you don’t have the number. You want to write a letter, but you don’t have the address. And so you fall back asleep thinking...

    Old Friend

    I had forgotten you, friend.
    Is that why you came
    into my dream?
    I had forgotten you.

    When I fall asleep again,
    will you leave your address
    on my pillow?

    – from Night Garden
